Hello. My 1715 4wd is in need of some new tires. It currently has AG tires on it an I am wondering if I can replace them with something less aggressive without switching out the rims or causing ratio problems between the front and rear. Any suggestions? thanks Jim

I'm on expert but I know that on my Uncles 2120 with turf tires, we called to see if we could switch to ag tires and they said we would definately need to change the rims to make the ratio right.

If you have any hills you might want to at least use ags in the back. My tractor has loaded r4's and wants to slide downhill sideways.

Jim, I think you hit upon both issues with going to anything different. However, you might be able to find something that fits your existing rims, and still is considered an ag tire, but looks a lot more like a industrial. Find a good Firestone or Goodyear tractor tire dealer, or thoroughly search their websites. You may just find a good comprimise.
