1720 WITH FEL

I NEED A LITTLE HELP.... LOOKING TO BUY A FORD 1720 WITH A FEL. THE MACHINE HAS 975 HRS. THE TRACTOR LOOKS GOOD. THE TIRES ARE ABOUT 50% WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD PRICE?????? AND ARE THERE ANY PROPLEMS WITH THIS MODEL???? THANKS WOODY

Do a search on 1720 to see previous threads on this fine machine.

Two years ago I bought a '95 1720 MFWD, 1708 FEL, 5' finishing mower, gear transmission, mechanically and cosmetically pristine, always stored under cover for $10,000. The tires were ag and were 80%+. It now has over 700 hours, and does everything I ask of it.

I also have a 1720 with FEL and it's been a good steady tractor that has done everything I've asked of it. No problems with the tractor at all. Can't really help with a price since I purchased mine new.

I have a 1720 wth 7108 Laoder and have been very pleased with the tractors performance. I have had a intermittant starting problem that I am trying to fix but when it is running it is a great tractor. I paid $8K in March and the tractor had 580 hours ! I'm a little surprised that at 900 hours you would be at 50% tread on the tires. Nothing to base it on just seems like a lot of wear. Good luck on your decision.
