Hi,
I have recently purchased a JD 1750 with a standard PTO operated by a small lever beside the steering wheel. The dealer demonstrated that the PTO worked prior to sale & I have had the unit running since purchase. However now that I want to use the PTO it will not operate. I have checked the linkage & the lever on the transmission mounted hydraulic valve seems to be engaging fully. Picked up a service manual which has been scanned from an original & burnt onto a CD. The diagrams are very clear but photos not so. The manual mentions connecting a pressure gauge to test points to check if PTO brake & clutch are receiving sufficient oil. But the photos do not show with sufficient clarity where the test points are. Could I ask whether anyone could advise where the test points would be? If pressure is normal then I guess the PTO assembly will have to come out for some work.
Regards
Mike
