17MM Hex for block heater install- Who\'s next?

NY Yankees Fan sent me the 17MM stub to remove my engine plug so I could install my engine block heater. Who needs it next? PM me and I will send it to you in the mail. I think it cost NY Y Fan $1.xx - a lot cheaper than buying the wrench at Sears!

17mm and 13mm are about the most common socket sizes you need. Keep it.

Ralph.... you are arriving at this party a little late...... the Allen socket has been in transit from member to member....

Um. I've a couple of those Allen wrenches, to take out Benz trans and diff plugs. Think they're 14 mm though. Ya need smaller ones for the starter bolts and a LONG helper pole on the end to loosen them. Luckily, haven't had to do it on this Benz yet, only 183,000 miles.

I though "Benz" made propane torches. Anything that has to do with Daimler/Chrysler AG., gives me the shakes. Sort of like the Thyssen/Krupp scenario. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It's really not an "Allen" wrench. Thats like saying a "Crescent" wrench. An "Allen" wrench is really a hex key and a "Crescent" wrench is really an adjustable open end wrench. It just happens that particular manufacturers are synonymous with certain tools. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
