I'm new to the forum and new to Yanmars. Will a YM 195 with a 5 ft belly mower be sufficient to cut 18 acres? I'll also be cutting on an elevation for part of my venture.

How 'bout price? Is $4500 the right price for this tractor with snow blower and mower (good shape/ 580 hrs).

Thanks for any and all comments.

I think you'd be fine with that setup, and the price is fair - except you don't mention a "D". I would be lost without four wheel drive on my 186D. It gives 40% more HP to the ground, and even for mowing, is all the differance in the world. With it engaged I get better traction, less overheating and, better fuel economy.

It is still a good deal without it, and may do fine at your place.

Be sure to check carefully, I wish I would have realized how serious the lack of brakes in mine

be sure to read pertinent threads, too. Three digit YM's are US models, four digits refer to gray market. There are differences...

Depends on what you are cutting, 18 ac of grass or brush. You might be served well to look around for a yanmar in the 25-30 HP range. A YM 2500 would be perfect.
