Make sure the ground strap/neg cable is in good shape where it connects to the frame.
Put a socket on the nut at the front of the crankshaft.
Could not turn clockwise at all.
How much pressure should it take to turn with socket?
Block the clutch pedal down so it and the transmission are disengaged, if it still won't roll over with a breaker bar loosen all the belt driven components and try again. You might have a bound up accessory like a water pump or hydraulic unit. That would seem more likely to me, since it doesn't sound like the engine was giving any indications of distress when you shut it down last.

Oh boy, I'm getting in over my head here.
Will block clutch down and try again. Might be time to spend a lot of money at dealer. Gotta fix it. Not worth anything broke
No rush , its under cover, ill need to borrow a skid steer to pull it out and remove the bucket frame and backhoe and push onto trailer
I miss my workcrew (tractor)
I am just reading this problem and seeing everyone is talking about a possible ceased motor or something similar. I always look at smaller reasons it is not turning over. The first thing that comes to my mind is a bad ignition switch. When you use the switch to pre heat the igniters the switch gets very hot and internal corrosion occurs. There are 4 contact points inside the switch and if only one of them gets corroded the tractor wont start. A new ign. switch on ebay runs around $50. You might test the switch. If it is bad, the tractor can be started by jumping the starter solenoid. There are posts about how to do this but I can't remember the correct way to do it.
