1920 wont start...read on

When my NSS switch started to fail on the shuttle it would do exactly what your tractor did. Nothing would happen when you turned the key. Mess around with the shuttle and some times just do nothing at all and it would start up perfectly fine the next time. It was hard to diagnose till the switch decided to finally die completely.

On my 1920, the throttle does not make a difference when starting. Idle should be 850 to 1000 rpm. I do have a picky Shuttle lever with a safety switch in it. You may have bounced some thing into the correct position by moving the throttle. I have a service manual in .pdf if you would like a copy.
