79' Case 580C, 43' Case SI 36' and 38' John Deere BN, 34' John Deere GP
I just picked up a 1943 CASE SI Airborne tractor.
The VIN is 4711035 SI. I think that puts my build year at 1943. Can anyone confirm that?
The instrument panel is Olive Drab, the rest of the tractor is painted in primer gray. Done by the former owner who began restoring it.
It does not have the front loader bucket or rear ballast box. So I'm looking for one now, in any condition.
Anyone familiar with this model?

I'd say you are correct on the year. In that era, dating the manufacture year you take the first 2 digits of the serial number and subtract 4. SN for '43 started at 4700001, '44 started with 4800001.

Loaders were made for them by Hough. You've got a pretty rare bird there, looking at a few threads from other forums, there were less than 500 made.

I had an SI back in the late 70's/early 80's. Long enough ago I don't recall where I got it, or who I sold it to. All wheels were solid cast, and what info I could get back then it was used as a tug in a factory.

It does come to my mind the rears were split rims. Zooming in on yours they appear to be split rims too.

That's a very nice collectable, have fun with it..!!
