1953 Massey-Harris Poney

I have in my possession a 1953 Massey-Harris Poney tractor. I have a problem with grease getting on the brake bands causing the tractor not to stop. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem. Can you give me any information as to how to correct the problem of having the grease getting out far enough on the axle to contaminate the brake bands. Also wondering where I can buy the lining or the brake bands themselves. Thank you. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
