I met a man who had a ford 800 however it broke down on his farm and had been setting a few years. I asked him if he would sell it but I really couldn't quote him a price except as scrap. What would be a reasonable price?

I don't want to put a lot of money in the purchase when it requires maintenance but I don't want to be unreasonable either.500 - 5000.
There is not nearly enough information to answer your question.
What 800 model 840, 850, 860? I only know its a 800 model I didn't get close enough to tell which.
Does it have power steering, wheel weights, high lift? I don't think it had power steering and I don't remember any wheel weights.
How are the tires? 2 new rears will run close to 800. The tires aren't new and I think one or more are flat
Has it been sitting outside? Yes its has been sitting outside for quite a while.
It is broke down? Does it need a new transmission, or a fuel filter? It is broke down and the problem according to the owner something with the timing or a shear pin I'm not sure.
