Yes. Remove the upper hose at the cylinder head water outlet elbow. Remove the bolts that hold the elbow and remove it to get to the tstat. Gas tractor full open at 180F, diesel open at 202F. They both start to open 20 degrees sooner.

Be sure the fan belt is tight. 1/4" deflection at the center of the belt. THe pump should put out 18 to 19 gpm. That's a lot.
