1961 Ford backhoe data plate

The bracket in the 3rd photo indicates a heavy industrial whit a frame. Early models would be the 1841, with cable steering system, later would be the 4000. I suspect it's the later 4000 model with the better steering. Serial and model numbers will be above the bracket. Here is a photo of one off my 4000 with the hoe dropped off.

Thank you, Soundguy. I don't get on line very often so I just now saw your remark. I guess that I will just have to get some paint remover and clean up that area. I will do that and then come back with more questions.

That hoe looks like a Warner Swazey probably not spelled right but they built backhoes for ford in the early 60's. From the pics it looks like it has not been abused like a lot of them were
