Here is a wiring diagram for a 135. The basics are the same for coil to distributor wiring. Basically the same for ignition switch, neutral safety switch. If you study the diagram it may help understand your existing wiring.

The inverter was installed originally as a voltage regulator for the florescent type display that originally came on the 135's and could have on other Mf of same year. Input voltage was 12vdc and output was around 24-28v the gauges didn't use incandescent bulbs so. A special power supply was added to light up the specially lit gauges. These burned out of the years and many owners just didn't fix them of replaced them with conventional gauges with standard bulbs.

Is your tractor gas or diesel? Number of cylinders?

The best advice I can give you for the long haul is to acquire both operators manual and service manual. AGCO has a website to sell manuals to past and present production tractor and implements.

Goto: www.agcopubs.com. Usually the manually cover both gas and diesel engines. A wiring diagram is provided usually in the owners manual. The service manual covers very little about wiring. This site is all about sharing info and helping each other work out problems.

If your dads tractor has a specific problem we can indeed help. Providing pictures of wiring such as distributor plug wires injector pumps or whatever is a plus to keep the thread from turning into a guessing game.
