New to post- I have been lurking for a while and figured I would turn to you all for some much needed help!
I know most of you probably have MUCH newer equipment than mine but I figured I'd ask..
Long story short:
Purchased a 1971 case ck580 (188 diesel) for my father a couple of years ago because he has always wanted a backhoe. Ran great up until about three months ago and has not run since.
We routinely changed the oil, filters, fluids etc. One day it would not start. would turn over and seemed to have good compression and would puff a bit of white smoke thru muffler.
I have taken a look at the top of the roosa master fuel injection pump and everything looks clean (inlet filter clean etc). I am hesitant to pull the pump because there is no real way to check TDC for the pump other than on the flyweel..(correct me if I am wrong?) I tried to pull my first injector tonight and it would not come..with al my might it did not move...
I am looking for some insite/ideas what to look for next or if anyone has experienced this before...
I am located in MA and would be willing to have someone take a look at it at this point because im lost for answers!
