Yes it is a brand. I have a long 350 that is the same as some models of the fiat tractor.

Try this place, I have a couple Hesston tractors which are just another color of Fiat. I get a good amount of my parts thru this guy.

That looks "edit* Almost" exactly what i have!!
I am almost finished the main shaft that holds the pedals, Might have to make some bushings to go through the gearbox yet..
In that picture, Number 2, which way should i adjust it to get more tension on the brake bands? As they were, from memory, only 1"/25mm screwed together, then locked with the nut. Should i wind them into each other more? Also the thread inside has rusted from dirt etc. Any idea what thread it is? Are these tractors normally metric threads?

You lengthen linkage to adjust the brake band. Be sure to leave about an inch of play at the pedal. And yes these are metric.

Thankyou very much everyone that helped me.
This brake problem was a great success!
I rebuild the whole brake pedal assembly shaft and bushes, retapped the adjusting bars to rid of rust/ dirt etc. Made up a tool to put the springs back on easy. (4mm stick welding rods are awesome).
We put it all together on Sunday, got her started after 5 attempts of jumpstarting a large flat battery :laughing:
Then i went and tested the adjusting mechanisms. THEY WORKED! My Dad and i were so happy!, He said it hasnt had brakes for 30yrs+!! So the bands are still working from original(no brakes = no wear on bands i guess) :laughing:
Made them equal adjustments on the pedals to it brakes evenly with the cross/joiner bar.
Yes it has been along time since the 1st post. I do work alot, and free time between my life and his, is very infrequent.
