I don't know why you all pick on lucas for they were well ahead of their time , they were the inventors of flashing indicators ( they work.. now they don't..... their back on again.......) intermittent wipers and self dimming headlights:laughing::laughing::laughing:, see years ahead of their time.

BMW; W =double you ; trouble you.

Black Mans Willie?

I'm not picking on Luca's electrics. I have never delt with them, so i guess i'm lucky from what i have heard. :ashamed:

OH!!! I get it now :laughing::laughing:

So anyway. Do alot of older tractors have this braking style or similar?

The axle housing, as in the very end covers of what looks like reduction box's/portals(4x4/4wdspeak)?

And these holes vent to outside air? It seems simple enough... Just never heard of this braking system before.

Thanks for trying to help!

G'day the axle housing where they bolt on in at the diff housing is where you have to split it and this type of brake was very common in fiats of that era they used it in their crawlers as well

Ok

I have a picture of what is a tractor diff/gearbox you name it. Unsure of brand but i will get the idea.

Will i have to split number 1 or 2 area?

I think you mean number 2, but i could be wrong.

G'day Timaay you will have to split it at no 2, a right royal PITA i know but at no 1 you have just got the final drive reductions. Have you tried adjusting it yet? By the way i think what you have there is a Massey rear end

Yeah it says Massey in the picture link url.

I'm only working on this thing on weekends. So when i get the pedal assembly back in, i will see if i can adjust it.

Cheers:thumbsup:
