i held out a while.. just liked the 4 cyl line more than the 3 cyl line.. mostly for nostalgic reasons.. sheet metal look.. etc.. I like the torpedo sheet metal.. 
but when it came up at 3900$.. and a 6' hd mower... how could I resist... most of the repair price was a grill, aftermarket donaldson muffler, and a lift cover gasket kit.. some paint.. sweat equity.. etc..
has been one of my favorite, non row crop tractors so far. I *almost* like it better than my 5000.

ps.. I'm glad I got into a X600 and not the 4000.. I like that easy to get to hyd filter..

Well, we weren"t able to pull the trigger on that Ford. It was 3 inches too wide to fit on our trailer. That was a good thing as we found a JD 2020 with a FEL with less hours, in better shape, for a considerably lower price. Life is Good!

LOL - We didn't even know that was an option. Neither did the folks selling it.
Machs Nicht anyway. The JD we did get is a much better value. Took it out to the property today and ran it through it's paces. Good times.
