1974 ford 3000
Hi everyone,

I was brush hogging the other day and I run over a chunk of a 2x4. After that I was mowing in some heaving grass and the mower almost came to a complete stop. I checked out the mower and found that it was the PTO from the tractor. I was mowing in low range 1st gear when I stopped it would come back to speed. I shifted the PTO in and out of gear normally. I stopped after it stopped a second or third time for the day. I had mowed about 3 acres before all this accured. My question basically is where do I start trying to diagnose this issue? I appreciate any advice.

Does it have the two stage clutch?

Hi showcattle,

Yes it is a two stage clutch.

I can't offer advice on how to adjust it, but that's where I'd start.
