I have a '65 3cyl gasser - Superior loader. Lifting capacity, at some point becomes a a factor of ballast, not front axle strength (move that weight back!). That said, I have filled rear tires, a full set of pie weights and have (accidentally) teeter-tottered it on the front tires without damage. My FEL runs off a front pump.

over time you will end up beating the bushing out of the front axle and then breaking the front axle and bending the radius rods

yep.. ford front axles weren't loader friendly till the 65+ 4000+ series. ( or the ld/hd industrials anyway.. )

that said. keep it bushed and it will do as good as it can..
