1986 case 255 tractor won't start

I have received a case 255 tractor it has a mitsubishi k3e motor. It has been sitting outside unused for two years. I drained what fuel was in it. Flushed tank, installed new hoses and filter to injection pump. injection pump is gravity fed on this model and fuel flows freely to inj. Pump inlet. I installed new battery with a charger hooked to it to keep a full charge. Disconnected injector lines from the injectors on all three cyl. Cranked motor in several 15 to 20 second intervals taking care not to burn out starter. No fuel to injectors. Did this several times nothing. So I unhooked glow plug wires ( They don't work anyway) removed air cleaner and cranked engine giving it a shot of starting fluid. Nothing. motor didn't pop or try to start at all. I didn't have a diesel compression gage but putting my hand over intake hose will suck hand to hose tight enough to leave ring on palm.. only thing that did happen was a few puffs of black smoke and then cleaned out didn't sound like it hit to even try to start. Tried it again same results won't fire on starting fluid. Previous owner said it ran when he parked it. I figured the inj. Pump is bad or it is has air in it. Don't see any other bleeds on it. So the tank is higher than injectors I left lines off overnight figuring it might self bleed the air out but no such luck. The pump has a solenoid on it that pushes in freely. key does nothing to it but if I jump it with 12v it will move in. Does this have to be in or out to run?

I'm gonna try a mity vac on the injector lines and try to draw fuel through the pump maybe it will prime. Anyone got a source for a reasonable replacement or a rebuild?

To bleed the system you need to do it one injector at a time not open all three.
If it was running and not altered before it sat, it should be just a matter of bleeding the system.

No luck I was pulling over 120in of vacuum per injector line and no fuel will flow through pump. I even tried cranking motor while pulling vacuum and still nothing. I also tried holding in elec. Fuel solenoid while cranking under vacuum. No fuel. Also tried cycling throttle while cranking under vacuum nothing. What could be blocking fuel from flowing to all/any of the injectors. It has to be something inside pump at this point. I also can't assume this was running when he parked it so who knows at this point.

Disclaimer: Be very careful doing this ... Soak a rag in gas, ring it out then cover the air breather with the rag and crank the tractor. DO NOT LET THE RAG SUCK INTO THE AIR BREATHER ... if she fires immediatly pull the rag away ... may have to do this more than once.

Its not a good practice however if its going to crank and run it will.

No did not even try on ether. I seem to have multiple problems. The lack of starting on starting fluid and the fact I can't get fuel through pump. At least if it fired I would pursue a pump rebuild. Not firing im guessing Should be a lack of compression issue. Valves or piston or rings. I'm not a diesel mechanic. just have always been fixing my own equipment so I figured I was missing something. I really need compression numbers I guess. can someone confirm how the fuel shutoff solenoid works on this motor in or out to cut off fuel. It also has manual fuel cutoff attached to cable I'm assuming that it gets pulled out to cut fuel.

I'll try the gas rag... If that doesn't work I'll stuff rag in tank and use to light burn pile. I was hoping if it fired it would get pump working..fingers crossed

From front of motor back 525 520 530
gas rag made it seem like it wanted to start.

oiled cyl. With some 30 wgt. with glow plugs out retested 550 525 550

So compression is good didn't check valve adjustments but they should be close.
