Looking at a 1990 m7030 2wd 3000 hrs. Supposed to be 68 pto. Are they a good tractor, are they quiet (havn't seen in person), are they efficient? Is it worth $7000 or not? General mpressions. I see they were made all the way to 1998.
The M7030 was a Fiat licensed design - very basic, tough in construction and no frills. I dunnot about a two wheel drive being that expensive but if the machine is good and solid, it may be worth it.
Be sure to check out the PTO function. There are two handles used to engage it - if the front one has been run engaged with the rear handle disengaged, there is the possibility the thrust bearings are shot in the lower end of the engine.
If it is a good solid tractor, the price may not be out of line - check with your local Kubota dealers who sell similar sized tractors for their take on the machine.
