Hi,
Just acquired a dream tractor, Ford 8240, and it needs some repairs (I tell myself I’m having fun working on tractors). Anyways, first on the list is fixing leaking on both ends power steeRing cylinder. I don’t have the repair manual yet (on its way), but curious what needs to be done? Cylinder housing appears to be part of front 4WD differential pumpkin. Does that have to come off or can I undo the rod ends and replace seals that way, which is what it looks like. Seal kit appears to fit all 40 series 4WD tractors. Thanks.
Best regards.
