Hello all, I am new to this site.
Last fall i purchased a 1994 mf 1250 tractor with very low hours. Shortly after i stumbled across a new in crate (1994 year) mf 1231 72'' belly mower complete package for this tractor. It came with all linkage / brackets / pto gear box.
I installed gear box, all the mounts and linkage and all works out well. With the exception of my belly mower drive shaft, it falls about 12'' short of reaching the pto shaft.
Is it possible they made this deck for a shorter tractor or am i missing an intermediate shaft with an out board support or pillow block ??? i am considering making the shaft longer to reach but im concerned about clearance issues and drive angle.
I have spent quite some time searching online with no results. I was hoping somebody had a similar setup that could help.
