As far as I know their both are manufactured by the same company(shibaura).

Yup, JC is right as rain, again. ISM (Shibaura) has been the supplier since the Model 1000 back in the early '70s.

The 1530 and 1630 were the first of the "Boomer" tractors back in 1998 (if I remember right).

I would check on the parts availability. When it breaks ( and it will ) if you can't find parts you will have a great lawn ornament. ( ask me how I know ? , a 1200 maybe ! )
