Kubota 1999 L3710 HST FWA
I had a dealer pick up my 1999 L3710 HST for its 800 hr service yesterday. In addition to fluids/filters I'm having 9 original hydraulic loader hoses replaced. They're going to quote replacing the seat too.

They couldn't give me a $ amount for a standard 800 hr service visit on that tractor.

I'm about 30 minutes from the dealership. The service guy couldn't even tell me transportation charge.

I'm thinking I'm gonna be close to $3k before the seat is replaced but I'm hoping for closer to $2k.

Drop your drawers and back up to counter when you go to pay. You're getting reamed. 😲

Can we say that anymore? 🫣 It's kinder than the words I had in mind.

I recently replaced a single hydraulic line on mine, it worked out to $1/inch. The ride to the dealership costs me $100; it's about 25 miles. The similar service that you describe was $500 last time I had it done.

Talked to service again. 7$ per loaded mile, $113/hr labor. Probably 4 to 5 hours labor on an 800 hr service. I could have saved about $1,000 doing it myself.

I was tired of changing hoses so I decided to bite the bullet and let them handle it.

Never change any hydraulic hoses on any of my implements or tractors unless they fail and then I use Discount Hydraulic Hose or swing by TSC and buy a new one and I've NEVER had my dealer do a service on mine except for valve adjustments. One, I cannot afford it and two, fluid changes and filters are easy-peasy. I do presume you grease your unit or do you leave that to your dealer as well?????

Good for you 5030, I guess you're a better man than I. Yes I grease the tractor, I also performed the 400 hour service on it. As you could see, it needed 9 hoses replaced since they were originals and 25 years old. I blew 3 hoses in a row in the course of about 1 week. Replaced one, blew another, replaced that one, blew another. I just figured since it was going in for 9 hoses I'd have them do the 800 hr. service, I didn't feel like doing it anyway.

Dealer quoted me $730 for a new seat. I passed. Any suggestions for a 25 year old L3710 Kubota replacement seat? I prefer arm rests.

For just about double that cost, you could get a Grammer air suspension seat to fit your tractor complete with under the seat compressor. Most mount on the standard 4 holes and takes a standard 16 gauge wire to run 12 volts to the compressor. Comes with arm rests and a back rest. You won't believe how comfortable those Grammer air suspended seats are.
