Did the 50 hr oil change on my 3320 yesterday. The oil filter part number in the owners manual is no longer valid so I got the new number off the JD parts website (they looked the same to me). I added the 5.1 qts of oil as described in the owners manual but it seems much higher on the dipstick than it was previously. Sure don't want to turn my engine oil into foam! Anyone experience this?

Regards,
Mike

Hey Mike.... I would go ahead and just drop some of it out. It would take very little time and you wouldn't 2nd guess yourself everytime you run the machine. If/when it goes down, you can always add a bit back in.

Mike,

I know on my 2210 it says, 2.2 quarts and I know for a fact when I change it along with filter it's 2 quarts precisely.

Thanks guys. I'll probably drain some out. The manual says 5.1 qts or 4.7L with a new filter. I went to a convertor on the web and 4.7L equals 5 qts so that may be the problem. It is above the operating range on the dipstick (above the two hashmarks) so that makes me a bit uncomfortable.
