1st time poster. BX2350 MMM & tiller question

Hi everyone this is my first post. I have been reading these forums for a while and finally decided to chime in. I actually don't own a tractor but my father has a BX 2350 and I use it and enjoy it just as much as he does but he is not the computer nerd that I am so this question is from both of us.

Is it possible to lock the mower deck in the raised position while using the rear 3-point hitch? We have a tiller for the back and when we till our garden the mover ends up riding on the dirt. We have the wheels on the deck all the way down now so that works but my uncle's John deer has a pin to lock the deck up when using the rear 3-point. Is it possible? Are we missing something?

If your mower height dial has a "top" setting, that will do the trick. Many of the decks can be pinned up also if you can get the holes to line up.

You should be able to set the mower cutting height control dial to the "top" position. This will lock the mower in the up position and allow the three point to drop down.

It still seems to move up and down even when in the top position. I don't know if it's going as low as it does when it is set to a number bit is it supposed to move?

It will still drop down a bit when in top but not as low. My experience is that you will want to remove the mower to til for the reason you observed. The fix is two tractors. One for tilling and one mowing oh yes and one to FEL work oh and one for...

I agree with what has been said on this regarding using the TOP setting to lock the MMM in place.

However, I have been having a recurring problem in getting the height adjustment dial to turn completely to the TOP setting on my BX2360. With the deck raised to its max height, the knob will occasionally not want to twist all the way to TOP, a few other other times it has worked fine. Is this just a problem with my relatively new tractor (<40 hrs) which may go away after more break-in use, or a problem I should address wtih the dealer?

The linkage is out of adjustment and the dealer can correct this. you can see the linkage adjustment from the left rear of the tractor on the three point linkage. mine was delivered in this condition. Best of luck.
