2.5"-3.5" Rod Hydraulic Cylinder-Where to buy?

The other thing to consider is the GPM flows increase on the return stroke proportionately as the rod displacement increases.....generally not a problem but return flow rate must not exceed the ratings of the DCV......

recently rebuilt a wood processor cyl 3.5 rod x 5.0 bore......they had a pilot-to-open check valve tee'd in to the base end port to drain off directly to the tank when returning....

I can't count how many 1.5" rods out of log splitters I have changed. Yes, they do bend in log splitters.

For the Surplus Center cylinder linked above, I'm sure a good hydraulic shop can custom make a cylinder for less.

Thanks. Do you guys think the 5x24x2 will be ok if I'm pushing a push plate and not a wedge?

Surely that ought to do.

yes that will do just mine. It doesn't matter if you are pushing a wedge or a plate, as long as you use something to keep it straight. Some splitters use a guide that sandwiches the beam others like your Huskee in your sig use the "log cradle" to keep the rod straight.
