I have a B3200 and want to know if it will pull a dearborn brand 2 disc tiller.
I don't know the size of the disc { he is calling me back} I'm guessing 20" disc.
He calls it a tiller, it looks more like a 2 disc bottom or turn plow to me.
thanks

A good rule of thumb is that each "bottom" on a plow requires 18-20hp to pull, so a two bottom may be pushing it for you. 4 wheel drive would be a big help as well as adding extra weight like a front end loader to give you extra traction. Soil consistency will matter a lot also. I think you can do it if you don't get too aggressive with plowing depth.

Well, it is 4 wheel drive and it does have the FEL to.I am going to look at it this weekend and go from there. Soil is good--creek bottom.
thanks

I have a B3300SU HST at about 33 hp and a Dearborn plow with two 14" moldboards. In the old hay field i'm converting to food plots my tractor will not pull the plow if the ground in not good and dry. The old Dearborn only has 1 coulter wheel which makes cutting thru all the grass roots very tough. If the ground is wet the 4 wheel drive will just sit and spin

Usually a moldboard plow will pull easier if the ground is slightly moist. If it's soaked on the surface you shouldn't be out plowing it anyways. The best conditions for plowing are usually a mostly dry surface with some moist soil below. If you're spinnning R-1's on dry surface you probably need weight added.
