Ithought you would enjoy:)When i lugged wood in at 8 pm it wasnt doing nothing.Ithought the storm was a dud.At 4.30 my boss called and asked me if i thought the crew should work.[our mill is partally outside,so snow blows in]Iwas quite surprised when he told me they had 15 inches on the ground in CENTRALMAINE where i work.So i got to play hooky, was tough to take being on the bota all day:p
It was a little different story here in WESTERN MAINE. After my first pass with the blower ,Melinda came out and measured in several different spots ,and we had 24 at that time.It snowed several inches after that before it stopped ,id say 28 inches was right on.
The neighbor who recently had heart problems was out shoveling a path to his garage to get his generator, because we also lost power.Like most of my neighbors the snow came so quick ,and so much a walkbehind blower was useless ,the snow came right over the top.Icleaned out his and other neighbors drives, the bota made quick work of it.I did break several shear pins, not knowing where their snow walls and rocks were, but still i was glad to help them.
As far as getting out of the cab ,i barely could. There is a slight incline down on the lawn ,and my cab settled to one side and i was done:D:D
Iwould say we got 5 feet on the ground this year, sure am glad i built my cab and bought my blower.Hard to see it in the pics ,but its there.

I completely sympathize, I have a snowsport blade on my truck and a 50" Buhler on the BX, but I know when I'm beat. Here's my reinforcements :D

Thats a good looking Oshkosh. Sure would love to say I had one of thoses, but really glad I don't need one! :D

That storm pounded us to escavader...next winter put chains on all 4 tires, keep 'em tight and you'll be glad you did.

6 to 8 inches of heavy snow coming today! I can't wait to get home after work and fire up the JD 3320, I love moving snow and helping the neighbors out with their drive ways and save my buddy's place for last and he always has a heated garage and a cold one for when I finish. life is good. Mh Mn

And another big one coming Sunday..... and another one Tuesday..... and another one......

Been a wild week. We've had just under 3' of snow in 7 days or so. The blower, both plow trucks and the Oshkosh have had a workout.

Just think, 8 more weeks till spring.

First pic a friend took of a road next to a road that I plow. That is one storm's worth, with some drifting.

Next 2 are the 4150 with 8' blower.

And the 5500 stacking.

Sorry to highjack your thread escavader, didn't figure I'd start a new one.

HI AT GREENE,
Weve been getting our licks lately.Ido rather enjoy winter more with the tractor.I shovel slightly in front of the garage doors and steps, bota does the rest.:D
Ive had a tough time breaking the field open with my snowmobile to make a place for the kids to ride[even though weve been riding in it all year] I got buryed several times up to my waist .Ifinally got that done and thought id be a hero and break the main snowmobile trail open in front of the house ,since no one else has tried. After burying it in a drift chest deep,i could see why.:rolleyes:The groomer will have to break open that trail.
Nice pics ,got any im stuck ones?:D

No, that was last year, used my kubota 4150 and my 501 Farmi winch with 3 snatch blocks. Took a while setting up, but I got it.

Here's another.
