Rank amateur at work here. I put in a 2 to 3 acre garden each year and take the produce to food banks, church kitchens, friends and of course my self. Last year I had 150 tomato plants, 50 watermelons, 50 cantaloupe with all the other vegetables plus rows of corn. I usually do 3 sections of 4 rows each of white, bi color and yellow and replant every 10 days. I have several walk behind rototillers to control the weeds in the rows but at 75yo the back is beginning to complain. This year I bought a 2 row cultivator for my Ford 8n. It would appear that it was set up to cultivate between 28 in row spacing. I will attach pictures of what my set up looks like. I also seem to have difficulty keeping it centered or swaying from side to side. I also have a walk behind cultivator and the wheels are 24inches apart. What is the ideal spacing between these rows, especially the corn? I make each row about 24 feet long then a 8 foot space between sections.
