Dennis if he has a inland marine policy it will cover it while it is being trailered probablyMcDenny's said:That seems a little high to me, I think you could hire a ramp truck twice, once to deliver, and once to pick up, and it would still be cheaper. I would look into renting a trailer, or start asking around. Just remember, if you hire someone, and something happens to your tractor, they will cover it. If you find a "friend" to haul it for you, and you only have "homeowners insurance" like me, it wont be covered by your policy if something happens along the way to the dealer. Just something to think about.

George2615 makes a good point. They would have to make two trips to my place (45 miles total, not 30). Still seems a bit high. Hope it dosen't speak to how they price other services. Since the next closest dealer is 90 miles round trip so I'm gunna try to borrow (hate to borrow anything) a trailer and see how they do. May be just an isolated incident.
The dealership has only been open a year or so. Hope giving them the benefit of the dought will pay off in the long run. The service manager sounded like a good fella and I could tell he was surprised with the price he was told to quote me as well.
Lets see... at $200.00 per trip...two trips per year...in 12 years I could have paid for a nice trailer... Anybody think that reasoning will fly with the boss after dropping 20k+ on the TLB?
