Well thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't sure what made it an "S" model. Just figured it was the year model. I don't mind the square fenders, just need a good tractor to put hay out for my cattle.

I'm just hoping everybody at the auction doesn't like the ugly square fenders and I'm the only one bidding on it...

The grey chassie color makes the tractor The "S". as well as those flat ugly fenders

all 5610 tractors have flat top fenders

Grey on the chassis makes it an "s" model, all 5610 have the square flat fenders. Okay, got it now. What are the other differences between a 5610 and a 5610S?

As long as it will do the job, and I can get it with fairly low bid, I don't think I'll be too concerned about whether or not it's a 5610 or a 5610S.

yep.. following the model progress you have the 5600, 5610, 5610II then the 5610S was the latest.. ( newest ).. etc.

I have a 7610s.. I love it.. pulls a batwing for me.

the only differences between a regular 5610 and a 5610s was the oil and fuel filters are different the wiring harness is different because the newer "S" have electric primer fuel pumps but the ealier ones didn't the 2000 and newer had a larger hyd. pump the insides of the motor are a little bit different because of emision standards when they where built but they all are great tractor imo and if treated right should last along time

should be 2 different possibilities on hyd filts and 3 possibilities on dry air filter canisters too I found out

my 7610s has the '1g 'paint can' sized hyd filter.. of course, horizonatal mount too! man what alot of oil...
