2001 873 leaking out of the back side of the control valve

Does anyone have any info on what needs to be replaced ? is it an O ring in the valve ? does the whole valve need to be taken out or can I do it in the machine ? any step bye step would help thanks ! Chris.

Unless the spool is scratched or worn it should just need seals. Take the linkage pin loose at front of the valve, remove the 2 screws holding the centering cap on at back of the valve and slide valve out the back. No need to remove the complete valve for spool seal leak only.
You can buy the seals in a kit per spool (1,2,or 3 spools).
