That is what I love about this site. A single question turns into an awesome conversation with tons of knowledge being imparted.

As far as the baler, my dealer agreed to run it through the shop with the agreement that if it needs a "bunch" of repairs we would discuss who would pay before proceeding. He is of the belief it is "Field Ready" so it shouldn't be much of a gamble on his part if he's right.

we bought a 2006 567 mega wide that the owner said was field ready.but with it not being out of the barn in 3yrs we are checking it over pretty good before baling season starts.

Wonder if the bearings are different, too?

In a brief search I looked up the 3 larger brgs(lower tailgate,very upper and starter roll) and the brgs all seem to interchange between models(regular & silage). Most operators don't make silage bales as tall as dry hay.
