Thanks, for your reply. It came in handy, as I am having the same trouble with my tractor as you were. I will take your advise and hope it works.

You can isolate the sensor by unplugging it and then drive the unit. If the jerking stops replace sensor. The sensor is located on the right side of the flywheel housing at about the 2 o'clock position.

Looks like I have the same problem...

Only way to move is by using the creeper function... all other hydraulics/engine seem fine... just no pedal forward/reverse... a couple of times it was jerky yesterday... kind of like lurching or surging.

Had no luck getting through to Parts or Service at JD this morning... only one man in each department today per secretary.

Good thing the 110 has the hand operated creeper function otherwise I would have had to leave the tractor at the job site.

Mine has the surging or lurching problem but last weekend I tried adjusting the throttle position sensor and set one way there was no pedal function, the other way it was lurching terrible. Guess I will try a new engine speed sensor since it is not much money.

The engine speed sensor solved the problem. No more surging or bucking! Thanks for all the help.

Success!... the speed sensor took care of the problem... Tractor is back in service and what a relief!!!

Mechanic had me worried... said it sounded like the transmission or hydro going out...

Had to order the part because local dealer does not stock since there is no demand.

Total out of pocket about $80

TBN saved the day again!

Any details on how to do this repair? can it be done yourself or does a dealer need to hook up computer to set it up? Any pictures of location and sensor. I don't have the problem but it sure seem like allot of TLB get the problem, so it would be good info. to have.

The sensor is a small probe with a short wire pigtail...

One 10mm bolt holds it in place and it is located above the floorboard on the bell-housing at about 2 o'clock near your right foot when sitting in the driver's seat.

The hardest part, and it was hard because I have large hands was reconnecting the wire pigtail to the wire harness lead... just didn't have anyway to get both hands in there... eventually, I got luck and was able to slip the connector together with one hand.

I had no warning lights flashing so the senor was apparently still signalling... Key off, remove and replace, key on and started and drove great.

Don't have a way to take a picture to post at the moment...

Amazed that one little electric sensor can render a big TLB inoperable...

The symptoms came on slow over the course of two weekends... first noticed a slight lurch when going forward and thought it was a quirk... then it did it again.

It got so bad the tractor basically refused to move with the pedals...
