Thanks again ultrarunner. My dealer had the part for my '02 and it solved the problem. I agree on trying to plug the harness in. I was able to get the wires over to the left side where there is a bit more room and got the sensor plugged in before fishing it back over to the right side. I hope anyone else with this problem is able to find this thread and get it resolved quickly. I read so many other threads that never seemed to have an answer or seemed to imply that the sensor did not solve the problem.
