This is my first "Related Topics" post and I think it's of general enough interest to qualify. The related part is that it has to do with tools and we use tools to work on our tractors. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I am just now watching a show on HGTV (Home & Garden Television) about the 2002 National Hardware Show. It covered over a million square feet and ran three days recently in Chicago at McCormick Place. You can go to www.hgtv.com and see a lot of the stuff you can either use or at least think would be neat to have.

You might want to check your local TV listings and see if you can catch this on HGTV later. It's really worth watching to see the latest gadgets.

How about a magnetic square you can use to hold projects together while you're working on them? Old news you say? Did I mention you can turn the magnet on or off with a switch? If you like tools and gadgets as much as I do, you'll love this show.

Hi Gary,

Yep I caught that show last year. Man I loved it. Sorry I missed it yesterday. I actual bought two of the items that they had on there last year. I'll definitely look it up to see when they re-air it. Thanks.

Kent,

They do one every year about the National Home Builder's Show, too. I've actually attended one of those conventions and it's WAY bigger than the hardware show, even. They actually had homes in various stages of construction built on the parking lot just to show different things. The show is usually in January as it is in 2003. This January it's in Vegas and I just may have to attend again. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Look for the HGTV show about it in late January or early February.

Hello Gary, yes it was a great show, I have attended this for several years. I was lucky enough to see Pat and Jody filming parts of the TV show. While the National Hardware Show is huge, this year it was about 1/4 smaller than last year. As long as I have been attending shows like this, I am still amazed to find many new and unique items every year. Hardware, It's a great industry.
