Not quite sure the point you're making? If you're suggesting that Jim and I are running some kind of scam your poorly mistaken. I was merely stating that the facts of the economy today has forced many people to sell things below market value substantially I'm not quite sure where you're located Michigan? But in upstate New York and I'm sure 90% of America most people are suffering losing their jobs,homes, when it comes to feeding your kids or making a tractor payment most people feed their children. This is not to say that scams don't still occur it's possible the tractor is damaged or stolen it's a possibility, but I think I will give people a little more leeway in this day and age with the current fiscal chaos in America.




PS I will probably be selling my TC 2420 in order to buy the MF I don't think I'll give it away but it will definitely be a quick sale reduced price after the first of the year I suppose I'm a scam artist with my future pending sale LOL LOL LOL take care

Not at all. I was only adding to what you wrote. I came across a deal exactly like that earlier this year, wanted to use google checkout claiming it had a 7 day period that you could get reimbursed and they wanted the money before hand. Checked in with google, ended up having to call them, and they said they have no such service. So I responded back to the person about what I'd found out and four months later I haven't heard anything from them. Sure there are a lot of really good deals in these tough times but there are still plenty of scams. I know I'd be pretty pissed if I ended up loosing $2,300 to a scam.

craigslist here gets at least one new scam like that every day. What I do is reply with a
" I'll take it " but here are my conditions. Never any transactions that aren't face to face, never trust a item to be shipped. Never anything other than a cash sale, and be able to drive away with the product after the seller proves to your satasfaction that it is theirs to sell. Some sort of a paperwork chain of ownership with big items. Once a scamer hears this, there gone. Western Union payments, escrow of any kink are almost always scams. Local news reports craiglistings are used on a regular basis to sell stolen goods. With large ammounts of cash like for a tractor purchase, take a couple of friends, Do the transaction in a known area, don't set yourself up, Lots of cash, protect yourself. There are good deals out there with honest sellers, but it only takes one bad one to cause a big problem.
