Dealer is pushing 2003 BX2200, $8995 for tractor + $2850 for snow-blower attachment. Claims it $1000 off this month, special deal from Kubota.

Sound like a good deal?

Michael,

It's been almost a year since I bought mine, but that doesn't sound like a fantastic price, although it might be reasonable, depending on the snowblower. The $1000 off is almost 10% of the tractor, so if you are getting a similar (or preferably better) % off the snowblower, it might be reasonable.

If memory serves, you had to buy the front quick hitch/mid-PTO adapter, and the snowblower itself had optional electric or hydraulic chute rotators. So depending on how much of that is included in the pricing, and what the list prices are, it might not be bad.

Last March/April, my dealer gave me roughly 12% off the BX2200 and FEL, without having to haggle. At the time, that seemed to be in line with what others were getting.

It might be a $1000 discount from your dealer, but there are no discounts from Kubota on BX2200's unless it was used in a show or has damage, and even then it wouldn't be that much. The price would be very fair in my region.

I could have missunderstood the discount thing but I swore he said there was some special deal running this month.

Called several other dealers (1 in Green Bay) and they quoted me more money. Got to go and check it out today maybe (bad weather here in the Lake Superior watershed), closest dealer in 100 miles away and need to find a trailer if I am going to bring one back.

Well I went and looked this pm. I like it but the dealer is hard to deal with, they have the take it or leave it attitude. The tractor with 3 point hitch, snow blower and heated soft style jeep doors cab, $14,000, %15,000 with l metal cab. Said he only has 6 left in stock and 2 were sold today. He will only discount the tractor, says the MSRP is $9995 but he wil sell for $8995 but no deals on the attachments.

I paid 8500 for the 2002 tractor and 2400 for the front mount blower. some thought that was high. but I'll will tell you one thing this machine blows snow a mile. I now have three drivways to do and last year with the walk behind was no fun. with this machine it is a picnic. keep checking prices. I.m guessing that availabality is moving the price some. good luck /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

$9000 seems OK for the tractor by itself. But my question is: not going to take a mower deck or a FEL with that /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif ??

Mine worked out to $12,200 delivered for a BX2200, 60" mid mount mower, and front loader with grille guard. I bought from a dealer in the region in late 2001, got a "down south" type price here in frosty NH /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif but he delivered it, set it up, and came back in the fall to do the 50 hour service /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Of course I bought a few extras from him that jacked up the final price by the time all was said and done. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I got an extra set of wheels with bar tires, and a weight box for example.

Having a good dealer is worth some extra $$$ even if the dealer is kind of far away and you don't see him very often. But you buy a Kubota in the first place because you won't be having to see the dealer very often, right? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Personally, after you've had yours for 150 hours like I have on mine, you almost forget what you paid for it because you are having so much fun with it /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif When I was shopping for it $100 difference from dealer A versus B seemed like a big deal, now I'm much happier I went with a good dealer.

I have no grass to mow, we get anywhere from 150 to 250 inches of snow a year from Nov thru April.

All I intend to ever to do is blow snow. I have a 36" cut 13HP 1999 Ariens and its killing my back fighting with in in the hard now.

FEL ? Whats that

Its kind of late in the snow season, so I am going to shop around. Not a lot of Kubota dealer closeby. Closest one is 100 miles, next closest comes back as in Green Bay, some 250 miles but he does not have any on stock at the moment.

This dealer I was at yesterday did not seem very motivated. he only has one of each model on display and the rest stashed in warehouse in the crate yet. When I mentioned I would like to take one home the day I purchased it he said that he had several ahead of me and it would be about 2 weeks before the could get to mine. The sell/service a lot of different equipment and brands. The K tractors are just a small part fo the business it seems. As I jumped into the ppickup I mentioned to my friend that this would be a good place to start a business.
