2003 John Deere GX345 Low Oil Pressure Warning Light

Ok, so I have finally gotten around to changing the oil. Changed oil, and filter. Tried to start it and I run full throttle and full choke for about 10 seconds and then it will die off. It fires right up no problem but as soon as I try to bring down the choke any it dies and shows the low oil pressure light. I'm not sure if that's correct function or not but do you all have any recommends?

As previously stated . Measure the actual engine oil pressure and set point of the low pressure switch . Using 5W-20 oil , 15W-40 or straight 40 weight ?

This sounds like a different problem than the original problem ----- a fuel problem rather than a "low oil pressure" problem. First step is to define the problem ----- or help us to define the problem. A fuel problem could be a fuel supply problem (fuel pump or restricted supply lines) or a carb problem. Or as mentioned in a previous response, could be a plugged air filter.
