If the package was retailed in '05 there most likely isn't any warranty left to transfer.

Excellent point. How did I miss that?:eek:

Even though the tractor has super-low hours, the warranty is a "use it or lose it" based on calendar years. At best, some of that very slightly used equipment would have warranties. I think you will agree with me that something without a warranty is not worth nearly as much as something with a warranty; therefore, a person can negotiate a lower priced based on expired warranties.

Well, I kinda/sorta agree & disagree.
"Warranties" are grossly over valued by sellers.
In fact what they mostly do is to (contractually) limit the manufacturer's/dealer's/seller's liability for production defects (though not design defects).

Sweeping GENERALIZATION; I would rather be buying something without a warranty knowing that the concept of warranty value is likely to be in the seller's head - so I have that as a bargaining point.

{Take another 25% off for expired warranty}

The equipment (including the attached FEL) is the least likely to have warranty IF all was purchased in '05. One year is about it for implements and attachments.

The biggest obstacle here is it takes a pretty big check to get the job done whether the package is a 'good deal' or not. But that has been mentioned previously.

If you were to go with your original plan, at what point would you have "invested" in a 9ft hoe ?

i would love a hoe and find something to do with it ;-)
