2005 John Deere Blowing the fuel Pump and Fuel shutoff Solenoid fuses when I turn the key on. I have replaced the fuel shutoff solenoid and traced the wires but I don't see any areas of concern. I have also unplugged the NEW Fuel Shutoff solenoid and the fuse does not blow out when I turn the key on. So it has something to do with those wires. I need help. Can anybody help?

Rig a 12v bulb to replace the fuse. When a short is encountered the bulb will light (rather than using a fuse which will blow). Then you can wiggle/pull wires looking for the problem.
Have you tried connecting the old or new solenoid, but not installing it? I am wondering if what ever it moves is stuck and current builds trying to move it, causing the fuse to blow?

Think your diagnosis is wrong..... IF solenoid is removed from circuit, you are removing the problem.... If solenoid is not in circuit then there is no load on wiring, there for no failure of fuse, proves wiring is good.... If fuse blew when solenoid IS NOT in circuit then I would suspect wiring...

Quit possible new solenoids is defective, yes it can happen with new parts in this modern era of no quality control made in china parts....

Suggest bench testing of solenoid with mockup of how it works on tractor...
