Hi all,
My saga continues. I replaced the battery cables and thought that my starter problems were solved but not so. Still randomly clicking so I decided to upgrade the ignition switch to the NAPA KS6600. I was able to find one for $ 50 with my military discount and thought that it would be a simple fix. So far not so. To start with, the NAPA switch does not fit the whole in the dash very well, too small, but I can improvise a fix for that. A bigger problem is getting the switch to turn on the glow plugs. My tractor has 4 wires coming out of the original switch, 1 orange, 2 red, 1 white. I can get the accessories to work, the starter to work, but no glow plug light when the switch is in that position. Any ideas? A you can see, my options to go back to the original switch are a bit limited based on the fact that I had to moficy the connections. I think that I tried every combination of wires to switch posts to no avail. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
