Ok guy's ,
I need a grill guard on my F250 2006 ford . Does the 2005 have the same front end mounting system as the new 2006? The dealer does not know. The grill guard company's don't know ,and short of parking my 2006 next to a 2005 and crawling underneath with a measuring tape ,I do not know . Anyone install a grill guard on a 2006 F250 Ford yet ?
We have so many Elk, Deer, and Moose running around here that it is just a matter of time before I meet one up close and personal .

I think the answer is not going to be very fun: I think that you need to park by one at the dealer and take a quick look. It is to risky to order one and have it not fit. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Allen, as big a guy as you are, I think it might make for an interesting set of photos to see you try to fit yourself under the front end of those trucks with the measuring tapes and a camera. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif But seriously, go ahead and just order one, if it doesn't fit, send it to me. The lovely Mrs_Bob's SUV is in the body shop being repaired from my recent Whitetail Deer way-to-close encounter!

Ok Gene ,what I ended up doing was to send "Ranch Hand" grill guards a email telling them that if the 2005 fit a 2006 then send it to me . I hope to know tommorow .
Bob ,that is why I needed the 3/4 ton so I would be legal driving it down the highway /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif!haha Well Bob ... I might be fat ,but your ugly and I can always lose weight, but you will always be ugly !!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

BigAl,

Which model Ranch Hand are you getting? Now if you do hit a deer nobody will believe that it was an accident. They will think that you are trying out the bumper. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Al, my uglyness is a well known fact. Combine that with the fur on my back and, well, can you say SASQUATCH? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I presume you will be posting pictures of the new truck, grill guard, etc when it arrives and is put together???

Bob ,
I have seriously tried to learn to post a picture at TBN correctly with no postive results . They come out postage stamp size .I tried to post a picture of the Grapple , I designed and built and it came out so small in the post that it looked like a dinner fork !
On another note ,I have posted pictures of a One Horse open Sliegh that I have on Countrybynet and they have come out fine ????? Go figure ???
But then again my old computer does have a choke knob and a hand crank to start it !!!

Maybe this will help you. If you don't have it, download a free copy of IrFanView

1) Make sure you open your photo with Irfanview.
2) Click on image in the upper left and look for resize/resample and click. Another window will open.
3) Where the blue highlight is (width), change that to 700 or less and click OK.
4) Now click on file (upper left) and go to "save as" and another window will open. You should see another blue highlight for file name. Keep that file name and put a (-1) after it. (example: Tractor.... Tractor-1) Doing this lets you keep your original photo.
5) Click OK.
6) Your new resized photo should be ready to post on TBN located where ever you saved it to. If it's still a little to big, use the original photo and change the 700 to say 650 and try that. SAVE THAT PHOTO AS TRACTOR-2.

A little trial and error plus some practice and you should be all set. That's how I learned, trial and error. Feel free to PM me anytime. Good luck.
