well i know this i feed 7 bales of 5 by 6 hay a week.where if i was feeding the 4 by 6 bales id be feeding 10 a week or more.an if i was buying the same hay 5 by 6s would be $280 a week vs $450 a week.

Big bales are great if you don't have to truck them; not everyone here lives in Texas. In many states, hauling 5' bales two wide will get you fines worth more than the load just about every time.

In regards to clearance, are you referring to the winrow's when round baling? The one I found is a 4wd, does it have better clearance?

Correct, the windrow hits the bottom of my TN75 which means I can't bale with it. We also have a Kubota M7040 (same PTO HP) that is 4wd that stands taller. We bale with the 4wd and do everything else with the TN75. On the other hand I can do things with the TN75 (because it sits lower) that I can't with the M7040. Pro's and Con's in everything.
