2008 Mahindra 3510
Hello You'll,
I noticed that my 4WD Shift Lever is leaking (pouring) Hyd Fluid from where it enters the Sump. After consulting with my local Mahindra Dealership Service Dept, I was informed of their backlog and the lead-time to get it looked at/worked on.

One of the Serviced Technicians stated it was a fairly simple repair being it was most likely the O-Ring (he stated just a typical one). He did say to pay attention to the "detent" ball.

Is anyone familiar with this repair or know anything about it? It seems pretty straight forward but, I don't want to damage anything or cause further delay in getting my tractor back in ops.

Thanks in advance . . .

I'm no authority on your tractor but from what I see the "fix" for your leak should be relatively straight forward. I would think most anyone capable of handling a wrench could do it. Drain the fluid, then disconnect the shift linkage rod. Remove four M8 bolts and the shifting unit in question will slip out of the main case. Remove one roll pin and the pieces involved will separate. (pay attention to the "detent" ball and spring at this point) The O ring in question is Mahindra part number V7201024014. Mahindra lists it for $3.00 Can you handle that?
