I just got my gasser XUV and I looked hard at the diesel !!............I could not see the cost difference for the HP difference. HP is only a couple more ponies in favor of the diesel. The units that I drove before my purchase, the gas seemed more peppy. I know the diesel has more torque, but I am not gonna be hauling heavy loads...............main purpose of mine is pleasure and hunting.

----

I could not tell much difference driving either the 620i or 850d.

How about fuel consumption? I bet the diesel is much better. I can fill it out of my ranch diesel, so that is nice. If it is like my 2210 tractor i had - it sipped fuel. That is nice when out on the trails, etc - not having to worry about fuel. Of course, more people would have gas if you need it...

Both were dang good rides, but I ultimately went with the gas for the FI as far as starting and with diesel prices here out the roof, I only wanted to feed one diesel.
-----

My only real complaint about my HPX now is cold starts - it sucks It has to warm up some - but I guess it isn't too bad.

In regards to hauling I will post a pic of my gator pulling a trailer of scrap.

i been thinkin what my hpx would look like if i took my rops off and went convertable style.there is really no chance of my hpx flipping over so i don't see why i have it on i can make me a set of roll bars like the ones they have in the beds of pickup trucks and mount it in my bed.i can put my stareo in the dash.

For 2008, the gaoline HPX is still available but the diesel is discontinued. The XUV is a full-carryover from 2007 in both diesel and gasoline configurations. There are some new attachments for the Gator though. I have said my peace about the diesel v. gas XUV and we all know what that is. One cannot put a price as such on the difference as it depends on one user v. another, but to me the upgrade would be worth $1,000-2000.

I don't think there's going to be one for a gator. You would need a power source up there for it unless you get a seperate gas engine for it.

They show it as an accessory. Looks like a separate engine to me.
