I have the same tractor amd similar trailer as you. I had a metal squeegee welded out of cuttting edge material to cover the teeth on bucket for cleanup and trench digging, the squeegee comes off by unbolting two chains to expose the teeth, it works great and should have done it a long time ago.I also bolted on a reversable cutting edge to protect the welded on cutting edge of bucket. I like the fact the tractor with attachments is around 4200- 4600 lbs. I can haul mine over thirty miles to some jobs. My friend borrowed it this weekend and he hauled it with his expedition. Good Luck with your tractor. plowking

I just bought a new MF1531 with the FEL, Backhoe, and MMM. Now I am getting the trailer to haul it, but am wondering what size I need. I was thinking 6.5'x16'. What size do you guys use?

I have the 16 foot PJ landscape trailer,I have to rest the loader bucket on the front rail, partly overhanging the tongue, have to swing the backhoe to one side to close the gate. You should have a gate or ramp longer then 48 inches, I have to lift my backhoe so it doesn't scrap on ground going up the sharp angle onto trailer. I also had rear stabilizers welded to back of trailer to keep it from picking up back of tow vehicle off the ground while loading, unloading. plowking

I have two trailers. One is a 16' 10k Hudson w/heavy duty ramps and the other is a 16' 7k landscape trailer. Both carry the 1531 TLB without a problem. But I think the ideal length of trailer for this tractor would be 18'. The 16' landscaper works but as plowking said...you'll have to hang the bucket or swing the hoe. On the 16' Hudson trailer, the tongue is longer and the ramps are split and everything fits better because of the extra room provided by the split ramps. During bush hog season, I leave the FEL on, remove the hoe and attach a 5' cut by 8' long rotary cutter to my tractor. It fits on the Hudson 16' perfectly. It will not fit on the 16' Landscaper.

Congratulations! I have always loved the lights on the old Masseys and it is neat how they continued them on the new MF. :)

Much appreciated guys. I will look for an 18' if I can, unless I find a great deal on a 16'.

I am really liking this little tractor. I have a few 100+hp farm tractors as well, but this thing has some big brass balls for it's size. The wife is already on me about digging up the lawn. Oh well, it's fun.

On a side note, does anyone have a MMM?
