We have a 2007 Polaris and we like it a lot. We have a small farm (25 acres) and we use it what I would consider somewhat on the hard side (if things are extremely difficult, that's what the tractor is for right?) but it gets used a lot. We have a factory poly roof, glass windshield, rear screen and the electric dump option. Now...the electric dump seemed pretty hokey to me, but (knocking on wood over here) we have not had it fail yet. We pick (literally) tons of rocks every year and now that we have the Ranger, my wife and daughter get in on the act; we've had the body loaded to the top with rocks and she dragged tail a bit but it handles it and dumps fine. I know for a fact that we've had 1,000 pounds in the bed and it handled the load fine...steered easier for sure, but it handled it. One other thing, we keep the rear suspension set pretty light so I'm sure it would perform better if we cranked the shocks up too.
I'm not sure what the weight is here, but this Alberta Moose Guide hauls some heavy loads with his Ranger every year as well...
