200CX Question

What number would you believe is more accurate for the 72"mmm?
- The Operator's manual states - Weight (Approximate).....183 kg (406 lb).
- The 2008 John Deere Governmet Equipment Purchasing Guides states 448lb.

Is one the shipping weight and the other perhaps the equipment weight? Or including the mounting hardware? The conservative in me says always go with the larger value.

I doubt you'll get to within +/-100lbs without a scale, there are a lot of variables in fluid weights, making sure mounting brackets are accounted for, filled tires, heck I think I've got more than 100lbs of mub on my tractor now

However I do agree that a common spec sheet for physical dimensions of all implements would be a great improvement in the manuals.

And don't forget weight for fluids (transmission and diesel). The weights for the tractor are probably dry weight.

It seems like you've already found it, but for those who haven't the government sales purchasing guide is a bit more uniform in how they present the specs.

Some more weights of my stuff in case anyone is interested:
53" bucket for the 200CX is 183lbs according to the guide, this is different than the post on TBN (but also may include the pallet weight, for example).
46 Backhoe is 896lbs (but this may not include the weight of the hydraulic fluids which can be substantial in a backhoe - ironically the government site didn't have the weight but the normal Deere site did)
9" bucket for the backhoe is 43lbs.
62D mower is 422lbs but it looks like a later version is a bit heavier?
The rear bagger attachment (including the impeller) is 103lbs.

Still looking for the weight of my Frontier pallet forks, maybe I'll have to (*gasp!*) check the manual.

Edit: FYI, found the fork weight in the manual. The Frontier AL1240F with 42" forks is 380lbs, shipping weight on these is a consistent 40lbs more.
